It Was... 15 Years Ago: The Flaming Lips, 13th of May 1995.

13th of May 1995, The Flaming Lips playing during the beginning of their best period, in Union Square, San Francisco. They were still pretty punk and daring to ware wash-out tees. I'm sure their socks were quite smelling too. Anyway, it's great to see those guys playing 15 years ago, few years before they started experimenting new (extraordinary) paths with The Soft Bulletin, Zaireeka & Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots. Here is a street version of "Talkin' 'Bout the Smiling Deathporn Immortality Blues (Everyone Wants to Live Forever)", which was the opening track of the "Hit to Death in the Future Head" album. Good times.
