X-Games Snowboard Video Contest

Like many times before snowboarding takes something that skateboarding did first. Nothing wrong with that, but it would be sweet if it was the other way around sometimes.
Whoever made (or gets the most votes?) the sickest 1 min part wins "Real Snow", which is a pretty funny title since they ride on more metal and cement than snow in this contest.

How sweet is the skier in the commercial before the clip?
Target market fail. Love ESPN.

Hopefully ESPN paid the filmers a fair amount to provide them with this footage.
But Real Snow? Come on.. Real Jibbin maybe, or Real Street Snow.
When I saw the skate ones I figured this would reach the snowboarding X-Games too, but I didn't think it would be only street boarding parts..
And no Euros? I know you have to draw the line somewhere but would it hurt to invite Ettala or maybe Halldor? If ESPN wanted the best Real Street Snow they could've considered inviting them.
If they wanted the best of Real Snow I think Jake Price could've made a sick Josh Dirksen edit. I wouldn't have mind to film maybe.. Gigi, or Nicolas.. maybe Wolle?
I bet Curt Morgan could've some up with some good pow stuff with Travis, or Pettit with John J..
But riding pow wouldn't have fitted the Real Snow contest I guess.
The contest format has potential, I just hope to see something more than only city boarding and all North American shredders next year.

Highlights you say...
Nic had some hammers, beasty bs 3 to rail.
Simon had a Haslam one-footed fs board and a sick press or two. Smooth style.
JP crippled a moving truck.
Jeremy did Wille shove-it's and other Ocean Howell-esq moves in patriotic fashion.
Louif did a press to a sketchy drop and some other sweet slides, the wave roof stood out.
Seth did a sketchy fs 2 down to a ledge.
Sexton know how to press his nose on narrow round bars.
Brisse had imo the sketchiest stuff. Rails with gaps, sketchy tow ins with serious consequences.

The selection of riders is because JP and Jeremy got to pick all the riders.

Without my fellow skiers here at Spatziba there would be no Spatziba.
But that doesn't stop me from mocking them. Jokes makes the world go round, or at least it makes it more fun.

Granted VHS wasn't a commercial success I knew/know it has potential and that's all that matters to me. Making movies with Plan B / Video Days standardized parts doesn't tickle my fancy. I tried it, had some success doing it and wanted to try something I want to do instead of what the industry had to offer.
Spatziba has a similar ambition but if you think we suck you have the freedom to not visit the site. Win win.

If you are bothered by the ski posts you can go directly to the snowboard page:

But with your attitude I could care less if you came back here.

And yes, I still think it's funny that they have skiers in the commercials at the Real Snow site. The whiskey one was cool too.

How sweet are the skiers all over spatziba?
Life fail. Love Spatziba, it might work as well as VHS Pierre!
