Oskari Raitanen interview - The Finnish Wrecking Machine

Oskari Raitanens season edit had it´s way with the internets ski community kids, much like a man with a van in a trenchcoat would. Finlands own Oskari Raitanen took the time to answer Spatziba some well thought of questions.

So Oskari Raitanen, what kind of name is that?
Firstly, thanks for the nice words! Oskari is a pretty old name I guess, in fact my friends know me by my nickname, Okko.
What are you doing right now?
Just came from a chemistry class, I'm taking some classes in a tech University in Tampere, Finland
Is it true that you and your kinsmen (finnish people) kan drink up to 10 liters of vodka per day?
Yeah I guess Finnish people are some serious drinkers!
Is Finlad gonna start shipping out good skiers at the same speed they are send out talanted snowboarders soon?
Hopefully! And hopefully they're not just double-busting contest skiers. There's plenty of really talented 10-16 year old youngsters that are killing it!
I´ve seen that you´re hurt right now. Im sorry, how did that happend?
I was jumping on a trampoline and landed over the mattress which resulted in my ankle breaking. Now five weeks from the injury it's pretty good but not a 100% yet.
Which was this summers best day?
The whole month of July was great because it was over +25c every day!

How did Nipwitz start?
Me and the filmer Aarni Toiviainen got bored in making just one big movie in the fall so we decided to make smaller videoblog(or cinemablog) episodes.

The Finnish Fury, Finlands Finest (Sorry Jussi) Oskari Raitanen gots some serious skiing going on. The passion is obvious which makes Oskari one of the funnest guys to watch skiing. What made me even happier was some of his answers in our interview. People with skills and good opinions concerning skiing are as hard to find as a blond Leprechaun.

It's pretty much open still. Depends on my economical situation. But for sure I'll ski!

Best day this past season?
It was in April at Pyhätunturi, Finland. Me and the boys landed our tricks over the fence in episode #4 right after each other and started to drive to Ruka and join the Ruka Spring Break 2010 event.
