Spatziba put superduper megaskier Alex Schlopy to the wall and asked him about Steve Irwin and his life as a 18 year old.

Alex Schlopy has it all. Enough talent to make rainman seem ungifted and enough style to blow your mind when you see him ski. Besides that he is one of the nicest guys that walks this planet.

Whaddup Alex Schlopy, what are you doing right now?
Waddup waddup! Right now I'm in Manhattan Beach trying my hand at surfing haha!

How is it going?
It's interesting, it's nice to know how much I suck at it.

Favorite grab?
The twisting alfredeo noodle, invented by Duncan Adams, it's crazy.

Best movie that will be released this year?
I guess we have yet to see! Eye trip and Revolver look like they're dressed to impress!

Is life different now that you are 18 and a big boy?
Slowly but surely I'm realizing life is much MUCH different, but a lot better, time to step it up in the real life world!

When did you learn to do a backflip?
I was an over active kid, I got bored of being upright all the time I guess, so one day around 5-7 years old I poached my neighbors trampoline and did it.

First skis you remember having?
First twin tips were the mini Salomon 1080's, I think they were orange?

Best place on earth?
So far I dig Sweden, but I have a lot more time to figure out where the BEST place is :)

Worst place on earth?
Probably Narnia

What do you do before you go skiing normaly?
A light stretch (limber up) then have a nice cup of Mocha style coffee. Maybe play a few rounds on MX Reflex (Moto Game)

Mr. Steve Irwin. Greatest man that ever lived when it came to riding whale sharks and crocs!! (RIP buddy)

Robert plant, since Robert is my real first name, Robert Alexander Schlopy :D

FMX, Travis Pastrana is the SICKEST.

Idol when you grew up (more then you are growing right now that is)?
Tanner Hall, and TJ Schiller. I really liked their style and fluidity.
