Air - Sonic Armada (A Trip To The Moon)

Oh, I thought this has been posted before the holidays... Le Voyage Dans La Lune is a short sci-fi movie written and produced by Georges Méliès in 1902n following Jules Verne's De La Terre À La Lune and H.G. Wells' The First Men In The Moon works.

Air is working on a new album (logically named Le Voyage Dans La Lune) on February 6th, inspired by this soundtrack and specialy made for the restaured version of the movie, that has been shown last year at the Festival de Cannes, celebrating the 150th anniversary of Méliès' birth.

Victoria Legrand (Beach House) and Au Revoir Simone will be part to this project. Parade, their first single, is already available on iTunes by the way... This definitely appaears like a real come-back to the psychedelic and interstellar universe the band has revealed through Moon Safaro. Exciting.
