50 cent is the future

That was back in 2002, he and his music was hot shit. Just to be clear from the get-go, I'm not really sure about his post...

The reason im not really sure about writing this one is 50 to me is what catholic priests are to little children. He's an habitual line stepper, he's done more wrong then Josef Fritzl and George W Bush together. But once he kinda was the opposite, whatever that might be.

Get Rich or Die Trying isen't a great album, but I played that shit over and over, i loved it. And I remember this friend of mine telling me that 50 had been the shiznit for a few years already, even before his debut album in 2005. He told me that there was a few mixtapes with this cat, and they were to hot shit. Even better then Get Rich or Die Trying I asked myself, and after some hard work in obtaining these mixtapes I found myself once again swept away by this New York rapper. No homo.
So i started playing these mixtapes over and over, and did so for a year or two. It was some gangsta hip hop shit. Not the best rhymes, not the best beats, but it was grimy, raw hip hop at the time. I was easy back then, rapping 'bout shooting and selling drugs always got me going. But after those two years of playing the mixtapes and Get Rich or Die Trying my taste in music grew, I got over that and haven't listened to 50 since. Until this day.

I was out surfing through the internets when I stumbled upon the above mentioned mixtapes and a story about how 50 once was the future and it acctually was a rather bright future compared to what we've got ahead of us right now, I'm not even mentioning names on this one. To me it's obvious. Commercial hip hop today is wack. But thats another story.

So whats the point with this you might ask. Well, when I saw these mixtapes i diden't hesitate for a second. I downloaded that shit and started reminicing. But after listening to a few songs I thought to myself, haven't 50 cent and his G-Unit done to much wrong for me to lay here in bed playing his shit on the highest volume (morning in bed beeing my best music listening hours may I add). Well yeah, he has, but fuck it, it got me smiling, it got me feeling pretty good.
