There is simply nothing as uplifting as browseing through Daniel Eatock's digi portfolio www.eatock.com. It's hard to pin a label on what it is he does but it comforts me that this world has a place for an individual like this. Daniel seems to wander through life with his eyes pinned up with that eyelid opener from A Clockwork Orange gathering input for projects that span from minutes to lifetimes as well as personal reflections, inverted experiments or collaborations with anyone who cares to remember. From car alarm dancing via exhibitions of hanging rolls of tape. Wandering beaches for stones that weigh exactly one stone. Or making makeshift prints by placing wads of paper on felt tip markers. Additionally Daniel has co-developed the indexibit websolution for portfolios in order to get around tricky programming as well as shifting focus from over-worked navigations to the actual content. The above (or below depending on what happens after that publish button gets a push) is my favourite of all time - the jigsaw puzzle depicting an unasembled jigsaw puzzle.
