Supreme x Christopher Wool
My all-time fav deck from Supreme no doubt.
The Larry Clark deck was also pretty beautiful with the classic imagery of some dick jerking, but this had something else to it.
It might had to do with the fact that I'd previously seen the Larry Clark images and that Christopher Wool was more of a new discovery for me, even though I possessed his book PASS THE BITCH CHICKEN which he did together with Harmony Korine back in 2002 - and some other knowledge about his work prior to the decks. Note that this is no news, just some internal thoughts...
The Ari Marcopoulos deck for Printed Matter (Limited Edition of 100 units) had some depth as well. Boring though that he makes two thousand books per year. Yawn zzz
Why aren't there more artist decks around? And why can't there only be artist decks as signature decks, so that both the rider and the artist get an even split of all props. It simply goes together so why not make it official? Make the rider initiate the concept for the artist or whatevs.
Straight chillen.
