Anthony Lister - The Beauty of Failure

This young Aussie does it again.

It was only two years ago since I discovered his work through my friend Alex, when they shared talks and exhibits at Semi-Permanent. I was immediately stroke with the fact that I was going to start seeing this name very often, very soon. A long list of exhibitions all over the world followed the Australian event...
Not by chance, Lister's mix of references to superheroes, popular culture and skate love, and his style reminiscent of Egon Schiele or Basquiat, was a hit.
It's Canada's turn now, so if you're around Toronto this summer, don't miss it.
